BETTER SCHOOLS – STABLE TAXES

I am running for Plainfield Board of Education because I believe that the children of Plainfield deserve an excellent education and that we as a community owe it to them to work together to provide them with the best. As a member of the Plainfield Board of Education I will fight for better schools and stable taxes.

While many advances have been made in the area of early childhood and elementary education, we still have a lot of work to do to improve education throughout our school district, especially at the middle and high school levels.

We need to:

  • Improve academic performance by creating effective small learning communities where our students can receive targeted instruction and support.

  • Improve safety and security in our schools so that our children can focus on learning.

  • Increase family and community involvement in our schools through proactive outreach and meaningful programming.

  • Fight to protect state funding so that our children continue to receive the resources they need while keeping our local property taxes stable.

Plainfield schools need strong leadership to make great things happen for our children. Please be a part of making our schools better for all of our children by voting for Christian Estevez and Martin Cox on Tuesday, April 17th, 2007.

Polls are open between 2pm and 9pm.
